Chongya Middle School is located at No.3 Chongya Road, Danshui Street, Huiyang District, Huizhou City. Founded in 1889, formerly known as Chongya Academy and Chongya School. It opened a junior high school in 1927 and added a senior high school in 1949.

Chongya Middle School was rated as a first-class school in Guangdong Province at the end of 2003. It passed the initial evaluation of national model high schools in April 2006 and the final evaluation in March 2007, becoming the first national model high school with excellent teaching level in the Pearl River Delta and eastern Guangdong.
