Dalian Technician College, founded on 1957, is a public technician college directly under Dalian Labor and Social Security Bureau, and a national base for training high-skilled electromechanical talents. It has been successively recognized as a national pilot unit for mechanic education and teaching reform, a core school for riveting and welding, a member school for CNC specialty of Liaoning Technician Teaching Group, a vocational skill appraisal base in Dalian, and an advanced unit for vocational education in provinces and cities.

The college covers an area of 60,000 square meters with a building area of 55,000 square meters. At present, there are more than 3000 students. Adhering to the motto of "educating people with technology" and taking "students are proud, parents are assured and society is satisfied", the college recruits students with junior high school education or above and college education or above (previous). The college focuses on training senior workers and preparatory technicians in the secondary industry, such as automobiles, pliers, cold working (riveting), electricity, welding, numerical control and molds. At the same time, technicians and senior technicians are trained for on-the-job personnel, and employment skills are trained for college students.
