communications and transportation major
This major trains applied senior talents who meet the needs of civil aviation development, have all-round qualities and comprehensive abilities in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, and meet the training standards of China civil aviation air traffic control, aviation operation management and airport operation control. Courses offered mainly include: advanced mathematics, computer software and application foundation, college English, electrotechnics, flight principle, aviation meteorology, flight performance and planning, aircraft system and power plant, pilotage, flight program design, aviation regulations, air traffic control foundation, airport control theory and practice, program control theory and practice, radar control theory and practice, dispatch procedures and methods, navigation information service, etc. Graduates have reached the knowledge and basic skills required by civil aviation professional licenses such as air traffic control, flight dispatch and navigation information, and can skillfully use English and computer tools to carry out various air traffic management work, and can be awarded a bachelor's degree in engineering. Graduates of this major are mainly engaged in air traffic control, navigation information service, flight dispatch and airport on-site command in civil aviation air traffic control departments, airlines or airports.
The basic physical requirements of candidates applying for this major: normal liver function, naked eye vision of both eyes not less than 0.7 (Table C), no color blindness and color weakness, no language, pronunciation or hearing impairment, and no history of mental illness.
