How does dance therapy work?
Dance therapy is divided into individual therapy and group therapy, and individual cases do not need to receive dance training before receiving dance therapy. Usually, dance therapists understand and analyze their body shape (upright or curved), posture (open or conservative) and movements (smooth or cringe) through the free walking of individual cases; Dance therapists diagnose and encourage the clients to express their feelings by observing and analyzing their movements. Dance therapy helps people to know themselves, build confidence in their emotions and finally accept themselves completely through improvisation; Through rhythmic movements, it can help people to eliminate muscle tension, reduce anxiety and improve their vitality; Through creative action, it encourages personalized expression and inspires people to try new ways of thinking and behavior; Through group action, we can help people get out of personal isolation, establish strong social and emotional ties, and make people feel happy with others.

In group activities, dance therapists will evaluate how to get along with each other, how to interact with each other through actions and how to share emotional expressions, and then give corresponding intervention and guidance. For example, by introducing the concepts of leadership and follow-up, a member of a group can be helped out of self-isolation and self-infatuation; Some tools or means can be used to explore specific scenarios, such as trust.
