Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety-attributes of accidents
Hello, friends, I was too busy last week to update the content in time. So, this week, based on the last lesson, let's learn the attributes of accidents together.

When it comes to the attributes of accidents, we must first understand what "attributes" are. Attribute actually refers to the abstract description of an object by human beings. A concrete thing always has many attributes and relationships. We call the attribute and relationship of a thing the attribute of a thing. In other words, attributes are abstract parts of concrete things. It is also the beauty of "always having something, wanting to see it" in Tao Te Ching.

The attributes of accidents include causality, contingency, inevitability, regularity, potential, reproducibility and predictability. So let's learn about these seven genera one by one today.

1. Causality of the accident:

Accidents are the result of multiple factors (internal and external reasons, direct and indirect reasons, primary and secondary reasons) that are mutually causal and continuous. This attribute tells us that there must be a reason for the accident, which is of guiding significance to the accident investigation and the prevention of similar accidents.

2, accident emergency plan:

The occurrence of a single accident is essentially a random event, and even if the cause of the accident is completely mastered, there is no guarantee that it will never happen. This contingency is manifested in: first, the time, place and state of specific accidents are unpredictable (such as fires, etc.). ); Second, whether the accident has consequences and how difficult it is to predict the size of the consequences; Third, repeated similar accidents do not necessarily have the same consequences.

3, the inevitability and regularity of the accident:

The accident is the result of a series of mutually causal and continuous factors. The existence of accident factors and their causal relationship determine that accidents will happen sooner or later. This is manifested in two aspects: first, inevitability comes from causality, and through in-depth exploration and understanding of the relationship between accident factors, we can find the objective law of accidents, thus providing a basis for accident prevention; Second, the inevitability of accidents contains regularity and is inevitable, which can be followed through the statistics and analysis of big data.

4. Possibility of accident:

? First, there is a process of gestation and development before the accident happens and causes losses, which is the potential of the accident; Second, the latent nature of accidents often leads to people's paralyzed thoughts, which leads to the occurrence of major malignant accidents.

5, the reproducibility of the accident:

If we don't really understand the cause of the accident and take effective measures to eliminate it, similar accidents will happen again, that is, the accident can be copied, but the same accident will not happen again.

6, the predictability of the accident:

Accidents can be predicted. According to the accumulated experience and knowledge of previous accidents and the understanding of accident rules, the possible future accidents can be predicted by using scientific methods and means. The work to be done in accident prediction: first, on the basis of understanding the accident law, fully understand and master all kinds of risk factors that may lead to accidents and their causal relationships; The second is to infer their development and possible consequences. The purpose of accident prediction is to identify and control risks and take countermeasures in advance to minimize the possibility of accidents.

These are the seven attributes of the accident. I think so, too. It is of great significance to understand the connotation and relationship of these seven genera and lay a good ideological and cognitive foundation for our subsequent safety management work.
