History of Bozhou Normal University
Bozhou Teachers College can be traced back to February of the first year of Qing Dynasty (1909), when Zhang founded a teacher workshop in Cishi Temple. 19 16, Mengcheng county ordered Wang Chi to open a normal college. 1929 Mengcheng County opened a teacher training center with a one-year academic system to train primary school teachers. 1933 the normal class attached to Mengcheng county middle school trained 50 rural primary school teachers. 1943 set up a simple teacher with two swords for 4 years. 1948, closed. 1952, Mengcheng County Junior Normal School was established by the county, with the site of the Great Temple next to the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda, and now it is the Third Hospital of Chengguan. 1September, 953, the school moved from the urban area to outside Nanguan, and moved to No.80 Zhuangzhou Road. 1July, 956, "Mengcheng County Junior Normal School" was renamed as "Mengcheng Normal School in Anhui Province". 1978 founded English classes, which strengthened the construction of English education specialty. 1980 Mengcheng Teachers College was designated as a provincial key school by the provincial government. 199 1 approved the training center for primary school teachers in Fuyang area. 1990, approved as a UNICEF teacher training project school. 199 1 passed the evaluation of education departments at all levels and was commended by the state education commission. The commendation is: "Training qualified teachers with clear direction and remarkable achievements for basic education". In the same year, the provincial education commission decided to be a pilot school for the "new program". 1996 was inspected and evaluated by the State Education Commission, and received rave reviews. 1999 successfully passed the comprehensive evaluation of education and teaching in the province, won the title of "Excellent Normal School in Anhui Province", and was also identified as a pilot school for enrollment of five-year primary education in the province. June 5438 +2000 10, Anhui Provincial People's Government approved Mengcheng Teachers College to be upgraded to Bozhou Teachers College. 200 1 The first high school of Mengcheng Teachers College enrolls three-year junior college students. In March 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was independently upgraded to a public normal college, becoming the earliest of the three normal colleges in Anhui Province. Due to the development of higher education in Bozhou City, it moved from Mengcheng County to Qiaocheng District of Bozhou City in September 201/KLOC-0. 2065438+March 2006 Bozhou Teachers College was upgraded to Bozhou College.
