Hebei Information Engineering School is located in Baoding, an ancient historical and cultural city in Hebei Province. Founded in 1958, it belongs to Hebei Meteorological Bureau. In 2004, it was rated as a provincial key middle school by the Education Department of Hebei Province, and was confirmed as a labor and employment training base by the Labor and Social Security Department of Hebei Province and the Education Department of Hebei Province in the same year. It is the only provincial technical secondary school in North China determined by China Meteorological Bureau.

Hebei Information Engineering School covers an area of 53 mu with a building area of 20,000 square meters.
