Pulse knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine
Pulse diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine includes pulse diagnosis and pressing diagnosis, and pulse diagnosis is one of the main means of diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine.

Pulse diagnosis, also known as pulse-taking, pulse-waiting, pulse-pressing and pulse-taking, is a diagnostic method for doctors to touch the patient's artery with their fingers and explore the pulse condition, so as to understand the changes of the condition.

The pulse-cutting part commonly used in modern times is "Cunkou".

"Cunkou", also called "air port" or "pulse port", consists of three parts: measurement, clearance and ruler.

The position of the high bone behind the metacarpal is called "Guan", which is "inch" before Guan (wrist end) and "ruler" after Guan (elbow end).

Each hand has three parts: inch, clearance and ruler, and * * * is six veins.

Traditional Chinese medicine adopts "Cunkou diagnosis" because Cunkou pulse can reflect the pathological changes of five internal organs. Cunkou pulse can reflect the qi and blood status of viscera and meridians of the whole body.

The commonly used clinical classification methods are: right inch waiting for lung, right closing waiting for spleen and stomach, and right foot waiting for kidney (life gate); Left inch is concentric, left inch is liver, and left foot is kidney.

When pulse-cutting, let the patient sit or lie on his back, so that his arms are nearly at the same level as his heart, his wrists are straight and his palms are upturned, so that the blood can flow smoothly.

Pulse-cutting often uses different finger strengths to observe the pulse condition, and pressing it lightly and forcefully on the skin is called "lifting"; Press hard until the bones and muscles sink, which is called "pressing"; It is neither light nor heavy, and it is called "seeking" to press the muscles with moderate strength.

Inch, clearance and ruler have three stages, namely, floating, middle and sinking, which are collectively called "three stages and nine stages".

Normal pulse condition is also called "flat pulse" or "normal pulse".

The average pulse is at most one breath and one breath, that is, one pulse comes to four, and the pulse is gentle and powerful, calm and restrained, and it is not urgent or slow.

Flat pulse has three main characteristics:

One is "God", that is, the pulse is gentle and powerful;

The second is the "stomach", that is, the pulse comes and goes calmly and rhythmically;

Third, "take root" and sink into the ruler, and there is still a leisurely and vigorous atmosphere.

Floating pulse and main disease

Pulse condition: excessive lifting, insufficient pressing. Look down, look down. It is characterized by shallow pulse.

Main symptoms: floating pulse. Float and strength are superficial reality, while float and weakness are superficial weakness.

Similar pulse:

Pulse removal: floating without roots, the shape of floating pulse is large, but weak, and it can't be suppressed with a little force. Eliminating pulse means that healthy qi dissipates and viscera essence fails, which is more common in crisis of disease and syndrome.

Pulse: floating big and empty, like pressing an onion tube. It is more common after a lot of blood loss or sweating.

Sinking pulse and main disease

Pulse condition: handle it gently, but press it again. It is characterized by deep pulse.

Main disease: pathogenic factors are in the house. Strength is the inner reality, and weakness is the inner weakness.

Similar pulse:

Latent pulse: deeper than deep pulse, it must be pressed again to reach the bone, even temporarily. It is common in Jue Yin, pathogenic stagnation and extreme pain.

Strong pulse: the pulse is strong and long, so it is not suitable for floating or taking it in the middle, but for sinking and taking it firmly. It is more common in symptoms of yin-cold accumulation, such as abdominal mass and hernia.

Pulse counting and main diseases

Pulse condition: more than five pulses at a time (equivalent to more than 90 pulses per minute), "come and go to promote urgency."

Main symptoms: heat syndrome. Strong is excess heat, weak is deficiency heat.

Similar pulse:

Pulse of illness: The pulse of illness comes with acute illness, with a breath of seven at most. Seven natures are factors and dryness. In the extreme period of fever, and when yin and yang fail, you can see the pulse of the disease.

Deficiency pulse and main disease

Pulse condition: All three veins are weak, and they creep faintly under the fingers, giving people a soft and empty feeling, which is the general term for weak veins.

Main diseases: deficiency of both qi and blood, especially qi deficiency.

Pulse excess and main disease

Pulse condition: Pulse condition comes and goes forcefully, and the three lifting and pressing are all big, solid and powerful, which is the general name of powerful pulse.

Main diseases: main evidence. Evil spirits are real but vital qi is not empty, evil spirits are fighting with each other, and qi and blood are overflowing.

Slippery pulse and main diseases

Pulse condition: "communication is smooth, such as walking on beads", and there is a sense of smoothness under the fingers.

Main symptoms: turbid phlegm, indigestion, excess heat, etc. Smooth and harmonious communication is a symbol of the enrichment of the camp and guards. Women's pregnancy is also a common slippery phenomenon, which is a manifestation of the harmony of blood and gas.

Blood stasis pulse and main disease

Pulse condition: communication difficulties, such as scraping bamboo with a laser scalpel.

Main symptoms: qi stagnation and blood stasis, injury and blood deficiency.

Veins and main diseases

Pulse condition: the pulse is as thin as a line and weak, but it should be obvious.

Main symptoms: deficiency of both qi and blood, strain due to various deficiencies, and dampness.

Flood pulse and main diseases

Pulse condition: "The flood pulse is particularly large, like a flood, coming and going, full of fingers." That is, the pulse body is wide, full and powerful, and the coming power is greater than the going power.

Main symptoms: excessive pathogenic heat. Long-term illness with qi deficiency, or fatigue, blood loss, long-term diarrhea and other symptoms, and seeing the red pulse, are mostly dangerous syndromes of evil flourishing and healthy decline.

Chord pulse and main disease

Pulse condition: the end is straight and long, such as pressing a string.

Main diseases: hepatobiliary diseases, pain, phlegm, etc. The string is slippery, and yang heat is the disease; Strings are tight and thin, and yin and cold are diseases; Internal injury due to fatigue, deficiency of middle qi, liver disease by spleen and string pulse are also common; If the string is thin and strong and goes along the blade, the stomach qi will be completely absent and the disease will be difficult to treat.

Pulse condition and main diseases

Pulse condition: the pulse is slow and weak, stopping regularly and with a long interval.

Main disease: Deficiency of the main viscera and qi. Diseases such as wind syndrome, pain, panic of seven emotions, and traumatic injury lead to the generation of pulse conditions, most of which are due to the inability of diseases to communicate with pulse qi.
