Suzhou Art School is a secondary vocational art school that trains talents in artistic performance and cultural industry. It is a civilized unit in Suzhou, belonging to Suzhou Culture, Radio, Film and Television Tourism Bureau.
At present, the school offers many specialties such as world intangible cultural heritage opera performance (Kunqu Opera performance direction), national intangible cultural heritage folk traditional craft (Suzhou clay sculpture craft production direction), dance performance (China dance performance direction), music performance (instrumental music performance direction), etc., and implements multi-functional talent training mode.
In recent years, the school has developed rapidly and achieved remarkable results, and the employment situation is good. Many graduates were admitted to Beijing Dance Academy, Minzu University of China, PLA Art Academy, Wuhan Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Nanjing Art Academy and other universities for further study. The employment enrollment rate reached 100%.
The 20021annual report was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Provincial Department of Education, and three-year (technical secondary school) majors of folk traditional crafts (Suzhou clay sculpture craft production) and six-year (technical secondary school) majors of dance performance (China dance performance) were enrolled. Suzhou Art School, formerly known as Su Ju Training School, is located in Wujiang.
1984 The city merged, moved to Suzhou, and changed its name to Suzhou Art School (vocational high school). In 2005, the brand of Suzhou Kunqu Opera School was added. In 2007, Suzhou Municipal Government (Fu [2007] No.66) approved the establishment of Suzhou Art School, which is a municipal secondary school. The school is now located on the bank of the canal, facing Hanshan Temple, the Millennium Ancient Temple, across the canal.
Now we offer drama performance (Kunqu opera performance), dance performance (China dance performance), traditional folk crafts (Suzhou clay sculpture craft production) and other majors. The school was awarded the Grade Examination Point of Suzhou Art Society by China Conservatory of Music, with an annual training of more than 8,000 students.
