International environmental theater: it is of great educational significance to help young people express their environmental concerns in their daily lives through independent and interactive educational methods and stage performances. Since the project was started in April, 20001,an effective two-step training method for teachers and students has been adopted. In the first stage, drama experts from the U.S.-China Environment Foundation conducted intensive training for local school teachers and community project personnel to learn improvisation skills and improve plot design ability. In the second stage, China teachers who have obtained training certificates organize student training. Under the guidance of teachers, students use the time of extracurricular interest groups to tell stories, make up plots, design stage actions and props, and create their own plays. After being familiar with the exercise, he performed to the society, and his humorous and interesting form attracted the attention of the news media.
Urban Environment Manual: Based on the specific history and present situation of urban environment, it comprehensively introduces various environmental conditions of the city, such as air, water, noise, solid waste, natural ecology, etc., and provides a lot of information for teachers. There are exercises at the back of each chapter of the manual. Taking the city's environmental system as the laboratory, students do their own research and answer questions. The Handbook of Urban Environment was published in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen and Lanzhou, and the second revised edition was published in Beijing and Tianjin in 2002.
Guide to environmental investigation sites: with the support and help of environmental protection bureaus in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other places, guiding materials for organizing students to carry out environmental experiments and investigations. It provides great convenience for schools, teachers and counselors to organize students to visit and inspect environmental places.
Earth Sight Poster: The Earth Sight Poster is a series of knowledge wall charts and posters to help teenagers understand the environmental situation. Animal Care Education: In cooperation with the American Society for Animal and Environmental Protection, the US-China Environment Foundation has translated, adapted and published a series of books on children's environment and animal protection in China: Jerry and Jamie in China, Jerry and Jamie's Teacher's Guide and Treat Animals Kindly, Cherish the Earth, to educate children to love animals and respect the environment since childhood.
Environmental field monitoring: With the support of government environmental education departments and local environmental protection organizations, the US-China Environmental Foundation has organized thousands of primary and secondary school students to participate in environmental field monitoring in recent years. This kind of hands-on learning opportunity provides an invaluable classroom for children to understand the relationship between people and the environment, and its influence is direct and long-term. Activities include water quality testing of the moat in Beijing and coastal wetlands in Tianjin, as well as voluntary cleaning work along the coast of Shenzhen.
