Mainland residents applying for a permit to travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao shall, together with the relatives of Hong Kong and Macao to be reunited, submit application materials to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ at or above the county level where the applicant's permanent residence is located, and accept interviews, inquiries and on-site interviews with the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ. /kloc-applicants under the age of 0/8 must be accompanied by their guardians to apply. Compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao cannot go to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ for interviews and inquiries due to serious illness and other reasons. , and shall submit an application for exemption interview and a hospital diagnosis certificate issued by Hong Kong and Macao compatriots.

Mainland residents can apply for travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao respectively according to their needs. Mainland residents who apply for travel permits and endorsements to and from Hong Kong and Macao at the same time, or apply for endorsements separately with valid travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao, must meet the corresponding conditions according to different reasons:
