The main functions of the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese are: mass work, participation in and discussion of state affairs, safeguarding the interests of overseas Chinese, and overseas friendship.

1, mass work

Based on the principle of doing everything for and relying on returned overseas Chinese and their relatives, we will fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the vast number of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives, unite the hearts and strength of overseas Chinese, and make contributions to the rejuvenation of China.

Always care about the lives of overseas Chinese, understand and master the wishes and demands of the vast number of returned overseas Chinese and their relatives, effectively solve problems for overseas Chinese, especially the vulnerable groups among returned overseas Chinese, mobilize all forces to help the poor and help solve practical difficulties.

2. Participate in and discuss state affairs

Actively participate in various political, economic, cultural and social affairs activities of the country, and give play to the unique role of overseas Chinese in promoting national economic and social development and the great cause of reunification of the motherland.

As a component of CPPCC, the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese should actively play the role of democratic supervision, and actively reflect social conditions, public opinion and the wishes of overseas Chinese through the suggestions and proposals put forward by NPC deputies and CPPCC members.
