Introduction: Since the establishment of 1998, this major has become the largest and most standardized shoe designer training base in South China. This major adheres to the market orientation and aims at improving students' practical operation skills. Adopting independent module teaching mode and full-time study, we set up nearly 10 professional training classes, including training shoemaking technology, special design, computer CAD-aided design, leather shoes art and renderings design, leather shoes last model, shoe-making secondary school courses and shoe-making junior college courses, as well as three-year mechanic education classes. Leather major has a team of full-time teachers with high quality, skilled technology and rich teaching experience, and is taught by a group of full-time shoemaking experts and technicians, 90% of whom are technicians, forming a team of double-qualified teachers, focusing on cultivating and bringing up highly skilled talents.
