Electrical and electronic engineers design, develop, test and supervise the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. Electrical equipment, including power generation and transmission systems, is mainly used for lighting and wiring in electrical industry, motors, mechanical control, buildings, automobiles and airplanes. Electronic equipment includes radar, computer hardware and communication and video equipment. The expertise of electrical and electronic engineers is mainly concentrated in the following fields: power generation, transmission and distribution; Communication; Computer electronics and the manufacture of electrical equipment-or branches of these fields-such as industrial robot control systems or avionics. Electrical and electronic engineers design new products, put forward performance requirements and make maintenance plans.
