What has China achieved?
1, the return of Hong Kong and Macao

On July 6th, China resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Hongkong. Hong Kong implements the capitalist system and the policy of "Hong Kong people ruling Hong Kong". It enjoys independent legislative, judicial and administrative powers and is exempt from paying customs duties and tariffs to the central government. It is famous for its clean government, good public order, free economic system and perfect rule of law.

On February 20th, the China government resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Macao. After Macao's return to China, its economy developed rapidly and became more prosperous than before. This is a successful example of one country, two systems.

Macao is an international free port, one of the regions with the highest population density in the world and one of the four largest gambling cities in the world. Its famous light industry, tourism, hotels and casinos have made Macao prosperous and become one of the most developed and affluent regions in the world.

2. Shenzhou 5 took off.

Shenzhou 5 manned spacecraft is the fifth in the Shenzhou series and the first manned spacecraft launched by China.

It was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 9: 00 on June 5438+00, 2003. It sent astronaut Yang Liwei and a flag of China with special significance into space and returned at 6: 23 on June 10, 2003.

This spaceship marks that China has become the third country to send a human into space after the former Soviet Union (Russian Federation) and the United States. It marks another milestone in China's space technology.

3. China's "Eye of the Sky"

The 500-meter spherical radio telescope (FAST) is located in Dawodang, Kedu Town, Pingtang County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province.

This project is a major national science and technology infrastructure. The "Eye of the Sky" project consists of an active reflector system, a feed support system, a measurement and control system, a receiver, a terminal and an observation base.

The 500m spherical radio telescope is called "the 500m spherical radio telescope (FAST)", which was conceived by China astronomer Nan Zai 1994. It took 22 years to build and was put into use on September 25th, 20th16th.

It is the largest single-aperture and most sensitive radio telescope in the world, which is led by the National Astronomical Observatory of Chinese Academy of Sciences and has independent intellectual property rights in China. The comprehensive performance is ten times that of the famous radio telescope Arecibo.

4. "Two Bombs and One Satellite"

"Two bombs and one satellite" refers to atomic bombs, missiles and artificial satellites. "Two bombs" refer to atomic bombs and missiles, and "one satellite" refers to artificial satellites. In recent years, "two bombs and one satellite" also refers to missiles, nuclear bombs and artificial satellites.

1October 5, 1960, 165438, China's first imitation missile was successfully launched, and on June 5, China's first atomic bomb exploded, 1964, 16, and China became the fifth country with an atomic bomb.

1967 June 17 at 8: 00 am, China's first hydrogen bomb was successfully exploded in the air; China's first artificial satellite was successfully launched on 2 1 on April 24th, 0970, and China became the fifth country to launch an artificial satellite.

China's "two bombs and one satellite" is a brilliant cause created by the Chinese nation in the second half of the 20th century.

5. The aircraft carrier was successfully developed.

Liaoning ship (code: 00 1 carrier, ship number: 16) is an aircraft carrier under the command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. It can carry fixed-wing aircraft and is also the first aircraft carrier in service in China.

The aircraft carrier Liaoning was formerly the USS Varyag, a marshal-class aircraft carrier of Soviet Navy Kuznetsov. In the middle and late 1980s, when Ukraine was building the aircraft carrier Varyag, the Soviet Union disintegrated and the construction project was interrupted, with a completion rate of 68%.

1999, China purchased the Varyag and arrived at Dalian Port on March 4, 2002. On April 26th, 2005, China Navy began to continue construction and improvement.

The goal of the PLA is to refit and manufacture this unfinished aircraft carrier for scientific research, experiment and training. On September 25, 20 12, it was officially renamed Liaoning and delivered to the PLA navy.

On October 20 1 13 10, the Liaoning ship left Qingdao for the South China Sea of China for a 47-day comprehensive maritime exercise. During this period, China Navy organized a large-scale ocean carrier battle group with nearly 20 ships of various types.

Since the end of the Cold War, this is the largest maritime force assembly exercise of a single country in the western Pacific except the US Navy, and it also marks that the aircraft carrier Liaoning has begun to have the ability to form a battle group at sea.
