Li Lanjuan, 1947, born in September, is a native of Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, an infectious disease expert, an academician of China Academy of Engineering, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Medical Department of Zhejiang University, the chief physician of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, the director of the State Key Laboratory of Infectious Diseases Diagnosis and Treatment, and the leader of national key disciplines. He is also the vice-president of Chinese Medical Association, director of the Department of Biology and Medicine of the Ministry of Education, vice-president of China Health Information Society, vice-president of China Biomedical Engineering Society, chairman of infectious diseases branch of Chinese Medical Association, head of liver failure and artificial liver group, director of national artificial liver training base, president of infectious diseases branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, vice-chairman of microecology Committee of Chinese Preventive Medical Association, director of international blood purification society and president of Zhejiang Medical Association. In 2005, he was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering.
