How to buy saxophone
The price of saxophone is different, and the brand of saxophone is dazzling, but how can we choose a saxophone that suits us?

First, the appearance. The common saxophone in the market are painted gold, silver plating, bare copper, carbon and so on. No matter which craft you choose, the first thing to pay attention to is that the surface is smooth and bright, the tube is thin and uniform, and there are no scratches. In addition, the bare copper model should also pay attention to whether the copper surface is clean, whether the color is uniform and whether there are defects such as copper rust.

Second, air tightness. The sound principle of saxophone is that the air column vibrates the tube, so it needs good air tightness of saxophone. Pay attention to check whether the keypad is imprinted, whether the pin on the buzzer accurately touches the center of the sound hole, and whether the keypad is tightly covered or deformed. It is best to ensure that every note (especially the bass) can be played easily, and the timbre is unified, coherent and smooth.

Third, feel. Check the tension of each key spring of saxophone, and make sure that the spring elasticity is moderate. If you push too hard, it will lead to the need to press the keys hard when playing, which will affect the play of skills. Too soft will lead to the slow rebound of keys and affect the conversion of scales when playing.

Four, welding interface, connecting rod. Check whether the weld is firm, tight and smooth. There should be no gap between the key post and the connecting rod, because any gap will prevent the cushion from covering the hole evenly and evenly.

Fifth, intonation. Pitch is the most critical index of saxophone. Here we check two indicators: (1) relative pitch, and play saxophone to check whether the pitch is accurate, that is, the design and assembly accuracy of the pitch of sound holes. (2) Absolute intonation: check the consistency of saxophone sound and standard pitch when playing, and check that B, B, C, D, E, F and G should be tested from the bass area, so that the bass area can also be pronounced sensitively. Finally, test whether the sound quality of all ranges is accurate and the volume is even.

Sixth, after-sales. After-sales is often a point that everyone easily ignores. Saxophone will inevitably be worn during use, so it needs regular maintenance. After using it for a period of time, some problems of Saxophone itself will inevitably be found. At this time, good after-sales service is what you need most.
