What is guided delivery?
Doula delivery is a maternal-centered delivery method, which aims to provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the parturient and make the parturient feel relaxed and happy during delivery. This mode of delivery emphasizes the autonomy and control of the parturient, and encourages the parturient to adopt their own breathing and exercise methods during delivery, so as to promote the occurrence of natural delivery.

Doula delivery is usually guided and supported by a specially trained midwife or doctor. They will provide emotional support to help mothers build a sense of trust and security. In addition, they will teach some breathing and relaxation skills to help pregnant women relieve pain and anxiety.

The main goal of Doula delivery is to reduce medical intervention and try to avoid using drugs and other auxiliary tools. It encourages lying-in women to keep a positive attitude during delivery, and promotes the smooth contraction by paying attention to body feeling and breathing.

However, it should be noted that Doula delivery is not suitable for all parturients. In some cases, such as fetal distress, abnormal fetal position or maternal serious health problems, other delivery methods may be needed. Therefore, when choosing the mode of delivery, we should discuss and evaluate it in detail with the doctor to ensure that we choose the mode that is most suitable for ourselves and our baby.
