In order to do a good job in the demonstration training of counselors, since 2005, the Ministry of Education has held 1 1 national demonstration training courses for college counselors, training more than 2,400 counselors. According to the "2006-20 10 College Counselor Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, within five years, 5,000 outstanding counselors will be selected in batches to study for master's degrees in ideological and political education, and 500 outstanding counselors will be selected in batches to study for doctoral degrees in ideological and political education. In 2006, the first batch of 1000 counselors were enrolled in the doctoral degree program of ideological and political education in 34 universities. The reporter learned that each supporting university should invest special funds for the base every year for daily office, counselor training and research, book purchase, scientific research funds and so on. The Ministry of Education requires all provinces to formulate scientific and reasonable training plans and send them to the base in time. Northeast Normal University has designed a three-level progressive training and research system, namely, on-the-job training, special training and advanced research. During the construction of the training and research base for college counselors of the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission will invest 600,000 yuan each year to support it.
