Yu Lu (1922.8.16-1964.5.14), a native of Gubei Village, Boshan County, Zibo, Shandong Province, was a revolutionary martyr and a model cadre. 1946 joined China * * * production party, 1962 was transferred to lankao county as the county party secretary. At this time, the county suffered serious waterlogging, sandstorm and saline-alkali disaster. He adhered to the leadership method of seeking truth from facts and the mass line. Together with the cadres and the masses in the county, he fought tenaciously against serious natural disasters and tried to change the face of Lankao. Suffering from liver cancer, he still endured severe pain and insisted on working. Known as "a good cadre of the party" and "a good public servant of the people."

Facing the spirit of Jiao, we should "look in the mirror, dress properly, take a bath, and treat diseases", and consciously carry out a major investigation, overhaul, and clean-up of the shortcomings in work style and behavior, so that power will always be used by the people, loved by the people, loved by the people, cared for by the people, and worried about the people. Since the reform and opening up, people's living standards have been continuously improved, but now and for a long time, China is still a developing country. "Born in sorrow, died in happiness." There is no end to development, and continuous progress towards higher goals requires a style of hard work. Even if the grand goal is achieved, the style of hard struggle cannot be lost. Party member cadres should make up the "calcium" of ideals and beliefs, enhance their sense of historical mission and urgency, and always maintain a mental state of self-improvement and striving for strength.

Continuing to learn the spirit of Jiao Youlu should be reflected in deepening reform. At present, there are many overall and all-round problems that the masses urgently need to solve, and the reform is facing a complicated situation and is in a critical period. "four winds" is saline-alkali, people's livelihood problems are waterlogging, and vested interest groups are sand dunes. We should make full use of and create conditions to eradicate saline-alkali land in four winds, eliminate people's grievances, droughts and floods, eradicate sand dunes with vested interests, and scientifically seek truth and comprehensively deepen reform. Party member cadres should be "pawns" and make new contributions in reform and development.
