What are the shortcomings of China's vocational education?
Now there are seven main problems, which are briefly introduced as follows. 1. The problem of emphasizing general education over vocational education and academic qualifications over skills is more prominent in society; 2. Vocational education lacks funds and investment, and a considerable number of schools have poor conditions for running schools; 3. There is a serious shortage of teachers, especially double-qualified teachers; 4. The communication between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education, general education and vocational education is still blocked. 5. Vocational education must involve enterprises, but school-enterprise cooperation lacks institutional guarantee, and some enterprises are not enthusiastic about participating in vocational education; 6. Vocational education is still a multi-head management, which needs systematic integration to achieve optimal management and further optimization of management system and mechanism; 7. From the overall quality of vocational education, it needs to be further improved to train more excellent skilled talents for the society. In view of these problems, the Education, Science, Culture and Health Commission frankly and realistically put forward opinions and opinions to the Ministry of Education, and also put forward some suggestions for improvement.
