Hunan High Speed Railway Vocational and Technical College was founded by the Ministry of Railways 195 1. The first chairman was General Guo Weicheng, who later served as Minister of Railways and Deputy Commander of Railway Corps. Focusing on the development of high-speed rail industry, the college has a professional and comprehensive connection with the engineering construction, operation and maintenance and diversified services in the high-speed rail industry chain, and takes a professional and refined school-running road. It is the first higher vocational college named "high-speed rail" in China.
The campus covers an area of 800 mu, with 65,438+2,000 full-time students, 3,000 adult students and 50,000 training buildings annually. Over the past 65 years, it has trained nearly 50,000 graduates and is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" of the railway system.
