STEAM is the abbreviation of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. STEM education is an interdisciplinary learning method, which integrates the teaching and learning of subject knowledge and skills in these five fields into a teaching paradigm, so that the single subject knowledge learned by students can be integrated into an interrelated and unified whole, and the obstacles that are not conducive to students' comprehensive application to solve practical problems in traditional teaching are eliminated.

At present, STEAM education in schools has been integrated in two dimensions, one is the integration of STEAM education and project-based learning in various disciplines, and the other is the integration of STEAM education and scientific and technological innovation education.

The school and the Chinese Academy of Sciences joined hands to create a scientific and technological research tour based on the STEAM project. At present, the school is planning to build a steam activity center of more than 400 square meters. Next, the school should design different STEAM project studios according to the specific STEAM project to provide good hardware support for the development of the STEAM project in No.3 Middle School.
