On the occasion of the centenary celebration of Normal University, Ma Yun, Chairman and CEO of Alibaba Group, returned to his alma mater to attend the celebration. Cui Pengfei, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and Lin, then president of the school, had a discussion with Mr. Ma Yun, expressing their desire to jointly build Alibaba Business School. The two sides believe that in order to build a first-class comprehensive university in the province and even in China, there must be first-class domestic and internationally renowned business schools.

During the preparatory period, the two sides organized special forces to conduct a series of investigations and inspections. Organized well-known experts in the fields of e-commerce, logistics and computers. Hold an expert consultation meeting on the establishment of Alibaba Business School to listen to experts' opinions and suggestions on school-running objectives, specialty setting, personnel training and teaching management. At the same time, Vice President Dad led the team to Peking University, Renmin University of China, China Europe International Business School, cheung kong graduate school of business and other well-known business schools to learn from.

Through investigation and demonstration, the working group of the school preparation and Alibaba (China) Co., Ltd. reached a * * * understanding on the school-running orientation, talent training mode, management mode, operation mechanism and teacher construction of the college, and discussed the talent training scheme and enrollment scheme of the college in detail. Students will be selected from outstanding students in the school, with the first batch of 278 students.

On June 3, 2008, KLOC-0, Alibaba Business School was officially unveiled. At the unveiling ceremony, Wang Guoping, member of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee, and Gu Mingyuan, president of China Education Association, unveiled the college.

Alibaba Business School opened the history of cooperation between universities in Hangzhou and world-renowned enterprises. The establishment of Alibaba Business School of Hangzhou Normal University is an important breakthrough in building Hangzhou Normal University into a first-class comprehensive university in the province and even the whole country. The cooperative business schools will also make new contributions to the construction of "China E-commerce Capital".
