I am now a graduate student majoring in mechanical engineering, and I want to be a doctoral student at Shanghai Jiaotong University. How to attend professional courses?
Preliminary examination (unified organization of propositions and exams by the school)

1. Initial test subjects: one foreign language, one professional basic course or one professional course; Full score for each course 100, with a total score of 300;

2. Initial test time: 20 1 1 in mid-March (the specific time is subject to the online announcement of our research and recruitment);

3. Initial test location: Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiaotong University (candidates enter the examination room with their original identity documents and admission tickets);

Re-examination (organized by each department)

1. Take the difference retest, with a total score of 200 points;

2. Re-examination content: comprehensive interview of foreign language listening and speaking ability, professional knowledge test and professional quality ability (candidates can check through the website of the department before the re-examination).

3. Re-examination submission materials (must be true and accurate at your own risk): Candidates must submit the following materials to the re-examination expert group during the re-examination:

(1) 1 copy of the registration form for doctoral students of Shanghai Jiaotong University (downloaded from the online registration system and printed on A4 paper);

(2) The original transcript of the master's course (the copy is stamped with the official seal of the graduate management department or the official seal of the management department where the candidate's file is located);

(3) Award certificate 1 copy;

(4) Copies of scientific research achievements (including patents obtained), published academic papers or monographs obtained during study or work;

(5) Two letters of recommendation (recommended, sealed and signed by experts with deputy senior titles or above in this discipline or similar disciplines, and recommended by candidates' master tutors); Click to download the recommendation letter template.

(6) Abstracts and catalogues of master's degree theses;

(7) Scientific research plan for doctoral degree;

(8) Report relevant materials required by the department.

4. The total retest score (200 points) is included in the total score (the sum of the initial test and retest scores). Candidates for re-examination must take part in the physical examination organized by our school.

5. The retest scores are determined according to the categories of enrollment disciplines, namely "Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine" and "Literature, Management and Economics" (see our school's scientific research recruitment network for details).
