Children's Psychological Development and Early Education

Why we attach great importance to early education now is because developmental psychology appeared in the twentieth century, which specializes in the development law of individual psychology. Before the birth of developmental psychology, human beings knew little about the process of psychological development. Only when people realize the importance of psychological development from the observation of phenomena can they guide the education of children. When a child is born, he can't talk or walk, but has a simple, primitive and innate reflection. A full-term child will eat his mother's milk as soon as he is born. This is called sucking reflex. You put your finger in his palm, and he can hold your finger. This is grasping reflex. Children will gradually become laughing, will take the initiative to express their feelings to you, and will start talking and walking. Live with adults, become adults after more than ten years, be able to work and have ideas, inherit human culture, reproduce the next generation and educate the next generation.

People are really wonderful. Children are all born the same, but they will be different when they grow up. Some people are smart, some people have strong ability to become scientists, politicians and artists, some people have good psychological quality and self-confidence, and some people are schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, personality disorder and criminals. In just over ten years, human development has changed so much.

Humans have been discussing the following questions:

1, what is the psychology when people are born;

2. Whether human goodness and evil, intelligence and stupidity are innate or acquired;

3. How does the process of people's psychological development proceed?

4. What influence does life have on adulthood in the first few years after birth?

Ancient human observation and speculation and modern scientific research are trying to find the answers to these questions. Only by finding the answers to these questions can we give specific guidance to children's education What did China people think in the past? Look at the first two sentences of Saint Amethyst: "At the beginning of life, human nature is good. Sex is similar and learning is far away. " These twelve words are the core of China's ancient Confucian theory of human nature and education. Mencius believes that people are kind at heart after they are born. No child is born a villain, and another child is born a Guanyin Bodhisattva. No child is born, which indicates that he will be smart in the future, and another child is born, which indicates that he is stupid. If so, education is meaningless, is it destiny takes a hand? Teaching and learning are meaningless. Mencius believed that children were born with basically the same qualifications, and admitted that there were differences, but they were all similar. Why do children have such a big difference in mentality, psychological quality, intelligence and ability when they grow up? "Learning from each other" is produced by learning different behaviors, different knowledge and different education in different environments after birth. Children's early education has a great influence on adulthood. "If you don't learn, not appropriate. You are young, don't learn, why not? " It is impossible, inappropriate and inappropriate for children not to study. Otherwise, there will be no promise when you grow up. China people are very aware of the importance of early education. People think that the first few years after birth have a great influence on people's life.

What does developmental psychology think of this? Developmental psychology pays great attention to two aspects of development after birth. One is cognitive or intellectual development. What influence does the development of children's intelligence have on adults' intelligence? The second aspect is the development of children's behavior and personality. In other words, what kind of children are more likely to have mental illness, neurosis, personality disorder or crime in adulthood? How do psychologists conduct research?

Psychologists observe children's behaviors and language rules at different ages, such as vowels, words, when to say complex sentences, simple sentences, interrogative sentences and complex sentences, and how many months to understand the passive voice. When children's thinking ability begins to develop, they begin to develop action thinking at that age, image thinking at that age, abstract thinking ability generally begins to develop in their teens, and so on. And compare the influence of children at different stages of development on adult intelligence.

The research team led by Professor Tuimeng, a psychologist at Stanford University in the United States, tracked the intellectual development of thousands of newborn children before the First World War, and this group's research continued until the early 1990s. The study of children's behavior and personality, first, traces back to her childhood from the person who developed mental illness, neurosis and personality disorder as an adult, to see what problems existed in her childhood and what problems existed in her parents' parenting and education methods. The second research method is to observe the influence of children with different behaviors, parents' different education methods, attitudes towards children and parents' psychological state on children's childhood psychology. Study the age stage of children's behavior development and so on. Nearly a hundred years of research results have drawn the following two conclusions:

1, 80% of people's basic intelligence is laid before the age of six.

2. Healthy psychological development in childhood (especially before the age of six) is the foundation of lifelong mental health. So a very important conclusion is drawn: the most important education in a person's life is in early childhood. This is completely consistent with the educational thought of our ancient people in China. Developmental psychology enables us to understand the development law of human psychology more scientifically, and the research of developmental psychology is an important basis for human children's education in the 2 1 century. ;
