How old is the child to learn musical instruments?
In order to attract parents and expand students, some preschool education institutions claim to be music characteristic parks, so that children can learn to play a certain musical instrument from the age of 3. This really appeals to parents. However, there are two problems that parents need to seriously grasp. The first question is whether this instrument is suitable for learning from the age of 3. The second question is whether the school can invite enough teachers who are suitable for teaching children to play musical instruments. For the first question, we need to emphasize that learning to play musical instruments usually starts at an early age, but the younger the better. Different people have different views on the age of beginners. 3-year-old children are not suitable for learning violin, and the development of big movements and fine movements is not mature enough. Some children haven't learned to hold chopsticks and their movements are not coordinated enough, so it is quite difficult to hold a bow and cooperate with their right and left hands at the concert. 2.3-year-old children are not good at singing, and they still can't master the pitch and rhythm, but good pitch and rhythm are only necessary conditions for learning the violin well. Learning the violin requires practice. Three-year-old children can't sit still and stand up, and their persistence is still poor. Half a minute of fun may not last. Children of this age have poor understanding of music, so it is very difficult to teach him to read music scores. If such a big child is forced to learn with his fingers on his back, it is easy to form some bad habits and it is difficult to correct them later. In a word, it is against the characteristics of children's development to ask 3-year-old children to learn violin quietly, which is likely to get twice the result with half the effort or even in vain. Such a big child needs free game activities more, and it is more suitable for them to improve their musical literacy with some music appreciation. It is better for children aged 5 ~ 6 to learn violin. At this time, the child's movements are further mature, and the fineness and coordination are relatively better. It is much easier to master the action of holding the bow and the cooperation between the left and right hands. The ability, understanding and persistence of children around 6 years old to master intonation and rhythm are further enhanced, and they can begin to learn to read music, and it is easy to form a good habit of practicing every day under the supervision of adults. So, what about learning the piano? Unlike the violin, the piano is accurate in every key, so children can start learning a little earlier. Some children start learning at the age of 4-5 and stick to it very well. Musical instruments, such as trumpet and flute, have certain requirements for children's vital capacity. It's better to wait until the children are older and start learning after teenagers. We made a special discussion on the problem of children's music teachers in the last issue. What needs to be emphasized here is that it is not easy for kindergartens to invite enough teachers to give specific guidance to children because of their great individual differences. However, improper requirements in children's study may lead children to develop into two tendencies that are not conducive to improving their musical ability. The first tendency is that strict and boring practice makes children hate musical instrument learning; The second tendency is that the training is too loose, which may prevent children from forming good habits from the beginning. Failure to lay a good foundation will bring obstacles to further study in the future.
