Lixian People's Hospital of Hunan Province was established in 1939. It is a national second-class first-class general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care, teaching hospital of Xiangya Medical College of Central South University, Xiangya Hospital of China People's Liberation Army, Wuhan General Hospital, designated hospitals for workers' medical care, urban residents' medical care and rural cooperative medical care, and county medical assistance center.
