The scientific name of red rose fish is cherry, also known as cherry lamp, angora crucian carp and pure red. It is a fish of Pelargonium family and does not need to belong to it. It is the same fish as the eyebrow fish. Cherry, as a common small ornamental fish, is also called cherry fish, because it doesn't need to be as bright as cherry blossoms in estrus. Color cherries don't need to be extremely gorgeous, small and exquisite, and they are deeply loved by ornamental fish players.

Morphological characteristics:

Cherry doesn't need to be spindle-shaped, with a slightly flat side, a forked tail and whiskers on both sides of the mouth, and its body length can reach 5 cm. There is a black longitudinal stripe from the front end of the head to the base of the tail handle, and both sides are serrated. The back is purplish red, the abdomen is pale yellow, and the whole body is basically rose red, so it is also called red rose fish. Males who don't need to blanch cherries have the habit of mutual repulsion, but the main way of mutual repulsion is that when two males are together, they will rotate separately and add marriage color to show their beauty and win the favor of females.

Living habits:

Mild temperament, suitable for mixed culture with other kinds of small tropical fish, they are not picky about water quality, suitable for living in the water temperature of 20-25℃, eating animal bait, not picky about food. Timid, hide when the noise is too loud, but sometimes I like to jump on the water, so the fish tanks must be covered with nets to prevent them from jumping out.

Male and female identification: male and female identification is difficult. The main identification method is that the male fish in estrus will see that its tail is reddish with bright body color, while the female fish's tail is yellowish with light body color and strong body.
