This textbook takes colorful art activities as the main line and basic knowledge and skills as the secondary line. The primary and secondary lines are closely linked and parallel.

The main contents include: point, line and surface games, rubber clay sculpture, painting, hand-making, paper toys, practical design, computer art, appreciation and so on.

Training objectives: This major trains teachers who have all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, have good professional ethics and humanistic quality, as well as modern education concepts, master the basic theories, knowledge and methods of art education, have the ability to engage in art education and research in primary schools, master strong art painting skills and techniques, be brave in innovation and engage in art education in primary and secondary schools.

Main course:

1. core courses: pedagogy, children's psychological development, educational psychology, educational research methods, art teaching theory, a brief history of Chinese and foreign art, introduction to art, sketch, color, basics of Chinese painting, basics of oil painting, etc.

2. Internship training: sketch, color, Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, writing, children's art and illustration are trained in school. Internship in primary schools and social training institutions.
