Are UFO and terrestrial light the same thing?
Some people regard terrestrial light as UFO or UFO as terrestrial light phenomenon. It is no accident that UFO and terrestrial light are easily confused. Perhaps understanding the causes of terrestrial light can not only clarify the strange displacement and the phenomenon of "Buddha lamp" in front, but more importantly, strictly distinguish UFO from terrestrial light, providing clues for finally understanding the UFO movement mechanism.

Ground light is a common natural phenomenon before and after strong earthquakes. 1975 At 6 o'clock in the evening on February 4, although it was not completely dark in Nanhaicheng and Yingkou, the visibility was already very low. There were no bicycles on the road, and the cars had to turn yellow before they could barely drive. Suddenly, the gloomy sky suddenly opened up, and people could see the road and even the things in the room. In Haicheng guesthouse, people even saw the red light all over the sky, which later turned into white light. This is an accompanying phenomenon of a strong earthquake-terrestrial light.

When the earth light shines, it is often accompanied by the rumble of the earth sound. For example, before the Haicheng earthquake, in Liaohe Staff Hospital, someone saw a piece of white light similar to arc light, which lasted for about a minute, accompanied by a stench; At Zhaotun Commune in Beizhen, people saw two bright white lights in the southeast sky, which shook like tractor lights for about a minute, and soon they heard the rumble of the earth. There are also many different forms of ground light. At Jinzhou Railway Bureau, people saw a pink light that lasted for four minutes. In many areas around Haicheng, Yingkou and Panjin, there are still many people who see fireball-like light spouting from sand holes and ground fissures, just like signal flares, with no tail and various colors.

Various forms of ground light can be summarized as lightning, hazy diffusion (flake), strip, column, searchlight, scattering, fireball and so on. As far as the color of light is concerned, there are red, orange, yellow, green and blue. , but blue, white and red are more, followed by yellow. Generally speaking, sheet light and ribbon light are mostly blue light; Fireballs, fireballs, flames and pillars are mostly red, red, yellow and white. However, this is not absolute, and sometimes the color of ground light will change with time.

Among these forms, the most similar to UFO is the fireball phenomenon. 1969, the town of Santarrosa, California, USA suffered two consecutive strong earthquakes. Like strong earthquakes in other areas, local residents saw various ground light phenomena, many of which were spherical flashes. For example, it is reported that "when the earthquake happened, several straight light bars rose into the air overhead." "I saw a fireball in the west of the town." "I saw a fireball about 3 meters, dragging a red tail and moving a few meters in 3 seconds." "I saw the fireball running from right to left, and in a very short time, it changed from blue to green and then to red in disorder ..."

During the Songpan earthquake in China from 65438 to 0976, a large number of fireballs also appeared. Only before and after the earthquake on the evening of August 16, a member of Jiangyou saw more than 400 fireballs. Someone described it this way: "We first saw sporadic fireballs in several places, and then more and more fireballs appeared, which was hard to count. When the ball first appeared, it was as big as a bowl. When it rises above 10 meter, it becomes as big as a dustpan. First white, then black, accompanied by noise. In the white firelight, there is also a black smoke rolling and smelling a strong smell. The range of fireball is estimated to be about 3000 ~ 4000 square meters, and the duration is about 15 minutes. When the fireball happens, there is no interference from radio, compass, radio, etc. No increase in radioactivity of the substance was found. "

When studying fireballs, Huang and Deng Hanzeng of China think that two types should be distinguished: Type A fireballs usually occur shortly before and during earthquakes. They mainly appear in the epicenter area, with no obvious distribution law and no underground passage, so they always suddenly appear in the air. Spheres vary in size, generally twenty or thirty centimeters in diameter, mostly red, with blue and white in the middle. They move quickly and sometimes make noise, and other forms of terrestrial light can also be seen. B-type fireball, a kind of signal flare or meteor-shaped spherical light body, exists before and after the earthquake and appears in a wide range, but it is related to certain geological structures and geographical conditions, and often rises directly from ground cracks, water caves, rivers and so on. The rising height is generally one or twenty meters. The size of the sphere varies greatly, from an egg to a washbasin. The color is mostly red, followed by green, then white or blue-white. They move faster than Type A, sometimes drift with the wind, often accompanied by noise, and often have unpleasant smells, such as sulfur. In severe cases, it can burn people and animals.

It can be seen that the fireball has the characteristics of swaying with the wind and rising without being disturbed by the magnetic field, which shows that it is essentially different from UFO, but its luminous phenomenon, sulfur smell and other characteristics are similar to UFOs that people encounter.
