The unique BMW headquarters building was opened in 1972 Munich Olympic Games. It looks like an engine, with four cylinders next to each other. It is also called a "four-cylinder building". In 2004, the BMW Building was renovated. On the basis of maintaining the original appearance, the internal structure has been "adjusted" again, and some high-end fire protection measures have been added to meet the current needs. This huge project was completed in the second half of 2006.
The construction method of BMW's beautiful "four-cylinder building" is very special. Each floor is built on the ground first, and then all 22 floors are stacked and assembled like building blocks. The cylinder naturally needs a cylinder head to match, and the BMW Automobile Museum next to it is the shape of the cylinder head. It has a circular roof with a diameter of 4 1 m, and a huge BMW logo is painted on the roof, which is very eye-catching from the air. The value of this group of buildings lies in that they shape the high recognition image of typical automobile enterprises with the image of parts. At the same time, the pursuit of aesthetics did not give way to figurative modeling, but complemented each other and became a landmark building in Munich and even the world.
