Creation background
Spring in the Northland is not about the northland customs of northeast Japan or Hokkaido, but about the scenery around Nagano Prefecture in central Japan. At the foot of North Bayue Mountain in Nagano Prefecture, there is a large area of birch forest on the 8,000-spike plateau at an altitude of 1 0,500 m, where there are as many as 1 10,000 birch trees, which is known as "the most beautiful birch forest in Asia". In the small rural shrine there, there are also magnolia flowers that bloom the earliest in spring.
1977 In the first month, the lyricist Inoue Hiroshi was entrusted by the record company to write a song for the male singer Qian Changfu. At that time, Qian Changfu was advertising for his hometown Iwate Prefecture on TV. In order to highlight his northern color, this song is named Spring in the North.
