The predecessor of Teachers College is the Department of Education, which was established in September 2004. After 19 years' development, the College of Teacher Education now has 68 full-time and part-time teachers, including 9 professors and 26 associate professors. In recent years, teachers have published more than 200 papers, presided over 4 national social science funds, 3 key projects of the Ministry of Education, more than 30 educational science planning projects in Jiangsu Province, philosophy and social science projects in universities in Jiangsu Province, and bureau-level projects in Taizhou City, and compiled 8 teaching materials and educational monographs 1 department. At present, the normal college has 1265 students and 16 graduates. The graduation rate in recent three years is 100%, the average employment rate is 95.70%, and the average admission rate of one-time examination is 60%.

1, primary education (general)

This major is a first-class discipline construction major in Jiangsu Province, aiming at cultivating professionals who are fully developed in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics, competent in primary education, teaching management and research, have modern educational concepts and good psychological quality, and can guide primary school students' family education. After graduation, I can be engaged in the teaching and research of primary Chinese and primary mathematics courses, student education management and school management, student psychological counseling and family education guidance in teachers' further education schools and primary education research rooms in counties (cities, districts), and I can also serve as a teaching and research staff.

2. Preschool education (normal school)

This major is the first-class major in our school. The purpose is to cultivate applied talents of preschool education major with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor, noble moral character, all-round quality, practical reflection ability and sustainable development potential. This major is characterized by art education and science education, focusing on cultivating students' solid skills in music, dance and painting, strengthening students' scientific thinking and innovating the exploration methods of early childhood education. After graduation, students can engage in education, teaching and management in kindergartens, nurseries and various early education institutions or engage in pre-school children's education consultation and guidance.

Teachers' Education College has a first-class major 1 school in Jiangsu Province, and the first batch of characteristic majors 1 school. The college has established a trinity of teacher education, including educating people, employing people and managing, and has built a collaborative training system for professionals including institutions of higher learning, local education administrative departments, kindergartens and primary schools.

The college innovatively implemented the "4+ 1" and "1+4" practical teaching systems, that is, after entering the third grade, students spend 1 day in primary schools and kindergartens every week+4 days in primary schools and kindergartens every week in the next semester+0/day in schools every week in the next semester.
