Yixing Dingshu High School was founded in 1938, located in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, the Pearl of Taodou. It is a demonstration school of Wuxi Education Modernization Project, a demonstration school of national defense education in primary and secondary schools, an advanced school of moral education in Jiangsu Province, an advanced school of routine management in Wuxi City and a demonstration school in Yixing City.

The school was formerly known as "Yixing No.1 Temporary Middle School" and "Private Evolution Middle School"; 1950, merged into "private dingshu junior high school".

1989 merged with No.2 Middle School in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, and became more famous; 1996, which was accepted by the expert group of key middle schools in Jiangsu province; In 2006, it was rated as a "four-star high school in Jiangsu Province".
