Take good care of vegetation and green the motherland.

The Yellow River is the cradle of Chinese civilization and is honored as the mother river by the descendants of the Yellow Emperor. However, such a mother river has been troubled in recent years, and some people even raised the question of what the mother river has brought us. Let's look at such a set of figures: 184 1 year, the Yellow River burst in Xiangfu, Henan Province, flooded 23 counties in Henan and Anhui provinces, and the water surrounded Kaifeng City. Parts of Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui and other provinces in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River were flooded. During the period of 1843, the flood occurred in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, with the peak flow of 36,000m3/s in Shaanxi county, and 27 counties in Henan and Anhui provinces were flooded. There are local floods in Hebei, Shandong, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Guangdong and other provinces. 1884, the Yellow River burst 38 times in Shandong Province, with more than one million victims, and more than a thousand casualties in Qihe County alone. This is only a small part. In the face of such a series of disasters, it is also reasonable to question. However, the occurrence of these disasters is ultimately due to our own reasons!

The annual sediment transport in the lower Yellow River reaches 654.38+0.6 billion tons. If these sediments are built into a one-meter long dike, its length is three times that of the earth and distance to the moon, and it can circle the equator 27 times. A large amount of sediment blocked the river, causing the Yellow River to burst many times. Where did so much sediment come from? The simulated rainfall experiment shows that the average infiltration rate and stable infiltration rate of soil covered by annual vegetation are higher than that of soil covered by perennial vegetation. Compared with annual vegetation, the soil loss under perennial grassland vegetation coverage is obviously reduced; For grassland vegetation types at the same stage, with the increase of vegetation coverage, the stable infiltration rate of soil and soil loss also decrease. The surface biological crust covered by perennial vegetation reduces the stable infiltration rate of soil. However, most of the vegetation on the Loess Plateau in the upper reaches of the Yellow River has been destroyed, resulting in a lot of soil erosion. In this way, the Yellow River will certainly flood many times.

From this point of view, in order to solve the flood of the Yellow River, we must protect the vegetation. The basic method of protecting vegetation is to plant more trees. Now, China has designated March 12 every year as Arbor Day, which is a positive performance. However, not only on the Arbor Day, but also every day, we should protect the vegetation and restore our mother river to its original state.
