Huang Zi

Huang Zi (1904- 1938), a native of Chuansha, Jiangsu, is an outstanding composer and music educator in the history of modern music in China, and one of the founders of professional music education in China. From 65438 to 0924, he entered Oberlin University to study psychology and minor in music, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in literature. After that, he transferred to the Music Department of Yale University, and his symphony overture Nostalgia received a bachelor's degree in music. 1929 taught at Hujiang University; 1939 served as academic director and professor of composition department at Shanghai National Conservatory of Music; 1938 died.

Huang Zi's works are very popular, among which Song Against the Enemy, Flag Flying, September 18th, Three Wishes for Roses, Flowers Are Not Flowers, Skills and so on are all famous, and Song of Eternal Sorrow is his most important work.
