The origin of children's songs
The original version of this song is based on Jane Taylor's children's picture book Twinkle Little Star. The original story is a beautiful story of a little star in the sky leading a girl staring at the starry sky to travel in space. The song was adapted on this basis. Because the melody is simple and lively, English lyrics are childlike, elegant and catchy, which has become a widely circulated English nursery rhyme in the world. After being introduced to China, Wang Gai, a lyricist and fairy tale writer, wrote lyrics and became a household name.
Domestic lyrics
Twinkle, twinkle, little star
The sky is full of little stars.
Hanging in the sky, shining.
Like many small eyes.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star
The sky is full of little stars.
This lyric is the most popular version in China, but it has nothing to do with the English original except the central theme and the original text. It's just an adaptation and re-creation for China children to sing fluently.
