Wuxi University, located in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, is a public undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, managed by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, organized by the People's Government of Wuxi City and supported by Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology.

The school, formerly known as Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology Binjiang College, was founded in May 2002. On February 2nd, 20021year, the Ministry of Education issued a letter agreeing to the merger of Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology Binjiang College and Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology Binjiang College into Wuxi College.

Wuxi College is located at No.333 Xishan Avenue, Wuxi City, adjacent to the core area of Dong Xi New Town Business District, only 1 km away from Wuxi East high-speed railway station, Metro Line 2 and Yingyuehu Central Park, with beautiful scenery and superior geographical location. The campus covers a total area of11mu, with a planned construction area of 306,500 square meters, complete infrastructure and good teaching and research conditions. It is a modern intelligent campus, ecological campus, humanistic campus, low-carbon campus and open campus.

The college meets the needs of local economic and social development. It owns Wuxi Research Institute and Wuxi Graduate School of Nanxin University. It has four teaching units 14, and six master's degree programs, including the School of Internet of Things Engineering, the School of Computer Science, the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, the School of Automation, the School of Rail Transit, the School of Environmental Engineering, the School of Atmospheric and Remote Sensing, the School of Science, the School of Business, the School of Humanities, Law and Politics, the School of Media and Art, the School of Marxism, the School of International Education, and the Ministry of Sports. The major of Internet of Things Engineering was selected as the national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site, and three majors, including financial engineering, electronic information engineering and automation, were selected as the first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites in Jiangsu universities.
