Because Zhang Sanfeng, the originator of Wudang, was a disciple of Quanzhen Qiu Chuji. Qiu Chuji is a disciple of Quanzhen Sect leader Wang Zhongyang. In this way, the Wu Tang clan is the Quanzhen clan. Besides, Wudang Mountain is mainly dedicated to Zhenwu Emperor and advocates the unity of the three religions, which is in line with Quanzhen Yi Dao.

Wutang School is one of the schools of Taoism in China. Wutangmen rose in the Ming Dynasty and was founded by Zhang Sanfeng in Wudang Mountain, Xunxian County, Hubei Province, so it was called Wutangmen and Wudang Road.
