Creation background

Tang Can thought he didn't have a masterpiece, and he always wanted composer Meng Qingyun to write a song for himself, and invited Meng Qingyun to sing many times, but Meng Qingyun didn't take it to heart at first.

At a friend's party on 1999, Tang Can got to know Meng Qingyun and asked him to help him rewrite the song. To show sincerity, Tang Can sang all the songs written by Meng Qingyun at the party. Meng Qingyun was deeply moved and accepted Tang Shen's request. That year coincided with the 50th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), and Meng Qingyun tailored this song to pay tribute to the motherland for Tang Can.
