How do the brave know the truth of justice for the public, the country and the country? There must be loyalty to the monarch and love for the people in the hearts of those who are both wise and brave.
Appreciating this poem is full of philosophy. The first two sentences of this poem are famous sentences that have always been praised. The phrase "a high wind knows the strength of grass" comes from the Book of the Later Han Dynasty and the Book of the Later Han Dynasty in the Song Dynasty. This language was first praised by Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty and Wang Ba. Guangwu said, "Yingchuan died in our crowd, and the son left the hard work alone, and the wind knows the grass." Later generations use it to describe that only after the severe test of crisis or war can we distinguish whose will is strong and whose loyalty is reliable. The author Li Shimin used it to praise Xiao Yu's feelings in this poem. "Bandang" in the second sentence is the name of two works in The Book of Songs. Poems such as Ban and Dang scoff at ignorance and ruin the political situation. Later, "stirring" was used to refer to political chaos. On sunny days, "strong grass" is confused with ordinary grass; In a peaceful and stable environment, "loyal ministers" are easily confused with ordinary people, and their particularity is not revealed, so it is difficult to distinguish them. Creative background In 627 AD, Li Shimin ascended the throne and made Xiao Yu the prime minister. However, due to Xiao Yu's outspoken nature, Li Shimin named Xiao Yu a Prince Taifu. In the ninth year of Zhenguan (653), Xiao Yu was named "Special Advancement" and presented with this poem. He also said, "You are loyal and straightforward, while the ancients are righteous." Li Shimin (599-649), the second emperor of the Tang Dynasty, reigned for 23 years, with the title of Zhenguan. His name means "save the world and help the people". He was born in Ji Cheng (now Qin 'an County, Tianshui City, Gansu Province). Li Shimin is not only a famous politician and strategist, but also a calligrapher and poet.
