How to put children to sleep
Children's difficulty in falling asleep often annoys parents, which is related to the fact that children have not developed good sleep habits since childhood. For example, it is a very bad habit for parents to pat, shake and walk with their baby in their arms and urge the baby to sleep. Children often sleep soundly in their mother's arms and cry with their eyes open when they are put in the crib. Sleeping in the same bed with parents, sucking the mother's nipple or rubber nipple, and falling asleep while breastfeeding is even more dangerous, which is also the main reason why children must suck their fingers, towels or horns before going to bed. In order to ensure that children have enough sleep, we should first arrange a room with soft light, fresh air and suitable temperature (22. C-24℃) and humidity (60%-65%), quiet and warm, avoiding all kinds of acousto-optic colors. We should also prepare a comfortable, warm and fenced crib for children. Mattress should not be too soft, bedding should be clean and soft, and the thickness should increase or decrease with the seasons. In winter, children can sleep in sleeping bags to prevent their limbs from freezing. Secondly, it is also important to cultivate children's good sleep habits from an early age. For example, it is important to cultivate children to sleep alone in their own cots, and put them gently on the cots when they are sleepy, so that children can fall asleep naturally. In addition, cultivating children's regular sleep habits is a good way to make children fall asleep easily. Let the children go to bed at a fixed time every day, stop playing before going to bed and make all preparations. Children sleep behind their cribs, cover them with quilts, and parents can accompany them for a while by the bed, gently sing a children's song or tell a short story, and then they can leave and let the children sleep by themselves. Don't have toys, picture books or anything that can excite children, so as not to affect their sleep. Doing this every day can help children gradually develop good sleep habits. Children occasionally have difficulty falling asleep, toss and turn in bed, or cry endlessly and refuse to sleep. First of all, they should carefully find out the reasons, such as whether they have a fever, stuffy nose, poor breathing or abdominal discomfort, whether their clothes are too tight, whether the quilt is too thick and heavy, whether the air in the bedroom is cloudy, whether they are hungry or overeating, whether their diapers are wet, and whether they need to urinate. And they may be too excited during the day, such as watching horror TV. After finding out the cause of difficulty in falling asleep, we should correct the cause, treat the disease, and try to avoid strenuous activities and excessive excitement during the day, especially after dinner, and arrange relaxing and quiet activities after dinner, such as painting, making handicrafts and playing with building blocks. Don't eat too much at dinner and before going to bed. Parents themselves should not be too anxious and nervous. They should treat children's sleep disorders calmly and patiently. They should not be impatient and rude. They should not only make strict and correct rules for their children, but also let them overcome bad sleep habits happily.
