Its school-running history can be traced back to Guangde Senior Nurse Vocational School founded by American Presbyterian Church in 19 15. The original name of the school is Xiangtan Vocational and Technical College, which was merged from Xiangtan Staff University, Xiangtan Mechanical and Electrical Industry Technical Secondary School and Xiangtan Health School in 20001and 2004.
