Vanity is a horror film, directed by Jeremy gillespie and Steven Costain, starring Aaron Poole, Katherine Monroe and Kenneth Welsh. It was released in the United States on September 22, 20 16. The film tells the story of a policeman who takes an injured person to the hospital and is surrounded by a group of unidentified mysterious people.
When police officer Daniel Carter (Aaron Poole) is patrolling near the town, he happens to meet James (Evan Stern), a local drug addict, who stumbles and gets injured on an abandoned woodland road. Daniel decided to send James, who was covered in blood and unconscious, to a local hospital for treatment. Although the hospital is still open in name, it is moving after the fire. At present, only four key medical staff are performing surgery.
There, Daniel is reunited with his ex-wife Alison Fraser (Katherine Monroe), a hospital nurse, and their children are estranged after their death. Alison's mentor, Dr. Richard Powell (Kenneth Welsh), is deeply sympathetic to them because he is still mourning for his little daughter who died of an incurable disease not long ago.
In the waiting room of the hospital, a pregnant girl Maggie (Grace Munro), her kind grandfather Ben (James millington) and the only patient left in bed are taken care of by an enthusiastic but inexperienced intern Kim (Ellen Wong). A stubborn old state trooper Mitchell (Art Hindle) came and insisted on taking over the lawsuit.
However, when Daniel tried to leave the hospital, he met a group of cultists wearing white robes and waving knives. Wearing hoods painted with black triangles, they gathered quietly around the building. They forced Daniel back to the hospital.
Before Daniel discovers the purpose of the terror crowd surrounding the hospital or explains the situation to the state police Mitchell, vigilantes Vincent (Daniel Fathers) and Simon (Mick Bischof) rush in and threaten everyone with shotguns. They announced that they would shoot James, and they insisted that it was non-negotiable.
