How to help your baby defecate smoothly
Step 1: Help your baby relax.

You can wash your baby's ass first, which will help your baby relax and be willing to "stink".

Step 2: Take a shit position.

The most commonly used posture: adults sit with their feet apart, their hands around the baby's ass, and their legs sitting on the adults' legs separately. The baby's head and back naturally rest on the adult's abdomen. Mouth can do some guidance "mm-hmm, mm-hmm".

Step 3: Wipe your ass.

Wipe your baby's ass after defecation. Be careful not to let the stool pollute the urethra. Better wash the baby's ass. The water temperature used to wash the bottom should be appropriate, usually 36 to 37 degrees. Adults try it with their hands first, and don't feel hot.

You should wash your ass with a soft towel or gauze. When washing, you should also wash the urethra before washing around the anus to prevent bacteria in the anus from polluting the urethral orifice. This is especially important for female babies, because women's urethra is close to the anus and is more susceptible to infection. If you are outdoors, wipe your baby's ass with a mild and non-irritating baby wipes.

Step 4: Observe the stool.

Many children's diseases will be manifested as abnormal stool, so it is best for mothers to observe whether the shape of stool is normal after defecation, such as the color, smell and shape of stool.
