AIA American International Assurance Company Limited (AIA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of American International Group (AIG). Since 193 1 was established in Shanghai, AIA has served Asian customers for more than 70 years. Headquartered in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, AIA has branches and associated companies in Chinese mainland (including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Beijing, Suzhou, Dongguan and Jiangmen), Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan Province Province, Australia, Brunei, Guam, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. 1992, AIA Shanghai Branch was established. In 2002, AIA Beijing Branch, Suzhou Branch, Dongguan Branch and Jiangmen Branch opened in succession. AIA rented the building at Shanghai famous landmark 17 in February, 1996 for 30 years. The predecessor company of American International Group moved in on 1927. 1May 1998, AIA returned to the site and held the opening ceremony of the building. At present, the building is the location of AIA Shanghai Branch. AIA has made great achievements in China. AIA took the lead in introducing LOMA (International Life Insurance Management Association) examination into China to improve the professional level of its employees. AIA is also the first insurance company to introduce the life insurance agent system into China. At present, the system has been widely used by most life insurance companies in Central China and abroad, and has become their primary marketing means. 1In June 1999, AIA Shanghai Branch passed the quality certification of SGSISO9002, an international authoritative certification institution, and became the first life insurance company in China to fully meet the quality certification system. In April 2006, 5438+0 took the lead in passing the ISO900 1(2000 edition) quality system certification again. In June 5438+February 2003, AIA Beijing Branch also passed SGSISO900 1(2000 edition) quality management system certification.
