Sleep time of 3-year-old baby every day
As we all know, newborn babies sleep most of the time. As the baby grows up, the sleep time will be less and less. So how long should the baby sleep every day from birth to three or four years old?

1, newborn baby: let nature take its course, sleep whenever you want, and eat whenever you want.

In the newborn stage, the baby's sleep should be natural. The baby can eat whenever he wants to sleep. Parents should not interfere too much.

2, 2-3 months baby: sleep 15- 18 hours every day, take a nap 3-4 times during the day.

This stage is a critical period to cultivate a good sleep pattern for your baby. Parents should pay attention to cultivating their baby's clear day and night routine, gradually establish a fixed action pattern before going to bed, and develop a sleep mode of falling asleep regularly at night, taking a nap on time during the day, and falling asleep by themselves.

Tip: Parents need to make a scientific judgment if the baby is crying or not.

At this stage, because the baby's nervous system is underdeveloped, it is easy to be tired. Once the baby is tired, it will accelerate the secretion of adrenaline to fight fatigue. At this time, the baby will show an increase in irritability and crying, and the development of crying will reach its peak in 2 months.

At this time, it is easy for parents to mistakenly think that the baby is hungry and needs nursing and comfort, so they frequently feed, cuddle and shake to sleep, which will gradually make the baby develop a learned behavior that relies on holding the nipple to sleep.

In fact, many times, the baby is not hungry or needs comfort, but crying because he is tired and eager to sleep. Therefore, in life, novice parents should pay more attention to observation, try to interpret the real reason of baby crying, and take care of the baby scientifically.

There is also the doting of parents, who simply can't tolerate the baby crying. In this way, the baby is actually deprived of the opportunity to fall asleep.

Parents should not interfere too much with their baby's sleep, but should cultivate their baby to fall asleep independently, instead of establishing a sleep mode in which parents hold them and comfort them with nipples.

At this stage, the best way to feed is to feed 2-3 times at night and take a nap 3-4 times during the day. Once a bad sleep pattern is developed during this period, it will last the whole infancy, even early childhood, and it is difficult to correct.

3, 3-6 months baby: sleep 14- 16 hours every day, take a nap 2-3 times during the day.

At this stage, the baby's sleep time will gradually concentrate in the evening, while the daytime sleep time and waking time will gradually extend, and the daytime sleep will be regular.

If you have passed the baby's crying period before going to bed and gradually developed a good sleep pattern, then you need to continue to consolidate this sleep pattern.

Babies aged 3-6 months begin to be interested in things around them (light, sound, color, etc.). ), especially curious about new things, often makes him resist drowsiness, then get excited, fidgety and cry, so that the baby will be more tired and more difficult to fall asleep.

Once the baby is over-tired, parents' soothing behaviors, such as holding up to feed and shaking the baby, may stimulate and interfere with the baby's natural sleep process. Therefore, when the baby shows signs of going to sleep, it is necessary to create a sleeping environment, reduce the attraction of the outside world, and let the baby lie in his crib and gradually calm down.

And try to arrange for the baby to fall asleep before 9 pm.

At this stage, the baby can breastfeed twice at night (9: 00 p.m. 1 time, and the second breastfeeding time is 3-4 a.m.), awake for 2-3 hours each time during the day, and take a nap for 2-3 times during the day.

4, 6- 12-month-old baby: sleep 14- 15 hours every day and take two naps during the day.

Babies of this month are usually 1 time in the morning and evening, with an interval of 3-4 hours. More than half of the babies can sleep for more than 6 hours at night.

After adding complementary food, the baby can begin to prepare for gradually weaning night milk, which is gradually reduced to 1 time in 6-7 months, completely weaned in 9 months, and can basically sleep until dawn after 10 months. With the extension of the baby's sleep time at night, some babies can sleep continuously for 6 hours at night, and they can sleep all night from 10 to 12 months.

Tip: Before weaning at night, parents must understand the benefits of weaning at night: it is for the baby's better development and for the brain to get a better rest and rest. It takes parents' determination and perseverance to stop breastfeeding at night. When the baby wakes up at night and wants to breastfeed, he should continue to keep the room dark and quiet, so that the baby can fall asleep again in time, instead of parents interfering too much.

3-4-year-old baby: sleep 10- 12 hours every day, and take a lunch break during the day 1 time.

After the age of 3, the baby can try to gradually postpone falling asleep at night for half an hour. It is best to fall asleep at 8-9 pm and wake up at 6-8 am, which is more conducive to ensuring that the nap time can be guaranteed at 1.5 to 2 hours.

In this way, the baby will feel full of energy after waking up in the morning or afternoon, and have better concentration to play and receive early education.
