Mother goose (mother goose's nursery rhyme) was not originally an idea of the British. In fact, one hundred years before its publication, namely 1697, perrot, a Frenchman, wrote a booklet consisting of eight folk stories and named it "The Story of Mother Goose". These stories were translated into English on 1729. Later, John Newbery, an Englishman, found it profitable to publish similar pamphlets for the children's market, so he and his companions decided to jointly publish a collection of nursery rhymes circulated among the people. So 179 1 year, Melody of Mother Goose was officially published in the UK, which included 52 small poems, each with a meaning and woodcut illustrations. This version is now a very rare treasure.
