Treat the poor first to treat fools, and help the poor first to help wisdom. Solving the poverty problem fundamentally through education is the starting point of the children's development project of China Development Research Foundation. Over the years, "Yu Hui China" has been trying an intervention model suitable for the development of rural children aged 0-3 in China, and exploring an effective way to fundamentally eliminate intergenerational transmission of poverty through social experiments, research and policy advocacy.
brief introduction
"Huiyu China: Early Family Education Project in Mountain Village" is a comprehensive early childhood development pilot project, which combines nutrition and parenting intervention in poor areas. The project aims at early intellectual development, behavioral intervention and nutritional intervention for school-age children aged 6 months to 36 months in rural areas.
Ningqiang county, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province, is the tenth pilot county of the national "Hui Yu China" project, the only pilot county in Shaanxi Province, and the only project county led by the Women's Federation in China.
At present, the "Yu Hui China" project covers 964 school-age children in 3 towns (offices) and 29 administrative villages in ningqiang county. There are 83 employees in the project, and the average age of all project personnel is 35 years old. This project helped 157 "unemployed mothers" to know the professional knowledge of early childhood rearing and education, and enabled 83 women to achieve flexible employment and stable income increase.
